What is a Smoothie Blender?
A smoothie blender, or maker as it is often called, mixes a combination of fruit or vegetables with yoghurt, ice and/or fruit juice. It is a wonderful way to keep healthy by having a Smoothie drink at any time of the day which contains lots of vitamins and minerals and it only takes minutes to prepare.
Why a Smoothie?
It is difficult with today’s lifestyle to prepare a breakfast while only having a limited time to get out for work. It’s even more thought provoking trying to get the recommended daily five a day fruit and vegetables to keep us healthy. This is where the Smoothie excels as it can be used to replace a quick breakfast for an energy boost or used at anytime of the day.
How do I use a Smoothie?
Make sure your Smoothie has a chopper and that the narrow chamber is made of glass as ice breaks plastic when it is being chopped and blended at high speed. Put any fresh fruit, fresh juice, yogurt, and ten pieces of ice together into the chamber. The Smoothie may come with a stir stick which helps to push down and blend some of the ingredients. Then close the lid and blend. It’s as easy as that!

What are the benefits of using a Smoothie Maker?
Using a Smoothie doesn’t just have to contain fruit, some people might choose a combination of fruit and vegetables like carrots. When the ingredients are blended together, not only does it taste delicious but you get your daily “five a day” fruit and vegetable portions too – it doesn’t take long to make and you get to stay healthy!
What’s the difference between a Smoothie Blender and a Smoothie Maker?
Both the blender and makers generally do the same job but with a slight difference. You make your Smoothie drink in the same way for both, but a Smoothie blender can be used in a lot more ways to blend various other foods rather than just making a Smoothie. The blenders can be cheaper than the Smoothie makers too.
The Smoothie maker does have a higher voltage than the blender to really crush and blend the fruit and ice. It’s glass chamber slims down nearer the base to encourage the Smoothie contents mixture towards the bottom spout pourer so you don’t need to lift the glass chamber away from the bass so this allows for easier dispensing into a glass. The Smoothie maker also comes with a stir stick which helps to push the fruit, ice and yoghurt towards the narrower base before blending all the contents together.
Whichever you use, blender or maker, if used regularly can really help to maintain a healthy diet enriched with vitamins and minerals, so you will look and feel great!
